Keen home gourmet and lover of historical biographies, Jacqueline Roarty has lived in and around Surry Hills for 20 years. It's an area she has never been able to leave because of the community feel and the ever-expanding collection of cafes, bars and restaurants. That and the fact that she can walk up to Centennial Park or to the Sydney Football Stadium to see a game of AFL or up through Taylor Square which is her gateway to Bondi, Darlinghurst and beyond.
A graduate of an Arts and Law degree, Jacqueline has worked in law and compliance in the not-for-profit sector. Her iPad and iPhone have changed the way that Jacqueline works, and help her check the reviews for the latest bar or eatery she is considering for a long Sunday lunch with a friend.
If anyone is ever after a coffee in Surry Hills, Jacqueline would recommend Cowbell 808 or the original Bourke Street Bakery, both of which are an easy stroll from her house.
