POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position title:
  Project Manager - Technology
Department: Technology
Reports to: Head of Technology



KEY OBJECTIVE
The Project Manager plays an essential role in ensuring delivery of all technology projects. Working with internal teams, stakeholders, contractors and external vendors to deliver the project portfolio to budget and to specification.

 

DELIVERING THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS

  • Co-ordination of all project related activity within the Technology department
  • Technology project portfolio management
  • The Issues and risks register, including end-to-end implementation
  • Be the main point of contact for external project managers on all outsourced projects
  • Internal resource management, ensuring all tasks are completed in agreed timeframes
  • Providing business knowledge and project leadership
  • Agile project management and task prioritisation


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Program Management

Management of several related technical projects
Planning, monitoring and reporting on project milestones
Risk and issue identification and mitigation
Budget management

Project Management & Prioritisation
  • Prioritisation of project tasks
  • Working with stakeholders to identify priorities, user stories and business value

Change Management
  • Implementation of companywide change
  • management process
  • Document variations and costings
  • Effort involved in change
  • Risk analysis of change
  • Time management

Risk Management
  • Risk identification and reduction
  • Maintaining the risk register
  • Removal of project roadblocks
  • Raising any queries or issues with vendors

Stakeholder Communication 
  • Communication strategy
  • Stakeholder management and updating of status reports

Project Planning
  • Attending all scheduled project meetings
  • Review and approve vendor project plans
  • Create and manage internal project plans
  • Manage phase sign-offs for both the test and live upgrades

COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential
  • Project management certification
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative nature

EXPERIENCES 

Essential
  • Minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Project tracking tools (i.e. JIRA, Microsoft Project)
  • Managing projects in line with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Good technical experience and/or implementation background

Desirable
  • Experience in media/advertising desirable
