To celebrate the launch of Vivid Sydney 2016, Intel’s latest Outdoor campaign allows festival-goers to take ‘Vivid’ selfies, whilst delivering an Australian Media First – wireless mobile charging!
The two custom built panels, created in collaboration between JCDecaux, Intel and OMD allow passers-by to take selfies and apply a range of interactive effects and colourful backdrops, putting themselves inside various Vivid scenes. Users are then able to share the shots via social media.
The mobile charge bars – an Australian Media First – are available at both panels and feature normal charging cables along with wireless and USB Type-C chargers. With the countless images and social media updates that flood the internet during the festival, these ports will ensure visitor’s devices stay charged all night – allowing them to capture Vivid’s spectacular projections and installations – avoiding the dreaded FOMO.
The panels will be live in Darling Harbour and Martin Place from May 31, for two weeks. The selfie camera will be activated from 6pm – 11pm each night, while the charge bar will be available for use day and night during the campaign.
