From time to time, JCDecaux's transport operator clients (metro, bus, light rail, train and airport systems) employ existing facilities at their locations to communicate their own messages. For them, this presents an opportunity to appreciate the effectiveness of our media solutions and to connect with their end-users using the power and flexibility of digital technology.
The familiar strategy of multi-format communication was used in Austria. In Vienna, the solution was multi-modal, with transport authority Wiener Linien broadcasting its campaigns on digital screens on buses to highlight their climate control, and on metro platforms to announce future projects.

Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), Germany
BVG, which manages the transport services of Berlin, recently conducted a number of campaigns to promote its passes, its new app and its new low-carbon emission buses, and to raise cyclists’ awareness of safety in cooperation with the German Road Safety Council.Wiener Linien, Austria

Santiago Metro, Chile
In Chile, the Santiago Metro uses the various formats available to advertisers, like lightboxes, freestanding advertising panels and train interiors, to highlight cultural events, spread the word about government campaigns or simply explain ongoing projects.
Danske Statsbaner (DSB), Denmark
In Denmark, DSB, a public company under the Ministry of Transport, used JCDecaux's digital advertising displays to promote its latest smartphone app.
