From Wednesday 13 – Friday 15 July, Telstra and JCDecaux Experiential brought the longest-running and most prestigious Indigenous art award in Australia to Southern Cross Station in a special outdoor gallery.

In celebration of Telstra’s 25 year sponsorship of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award (NATSIAA), Indigenous artists were commissioned to create public art pieces that brought to life the theme ‘Discover Brilliant Indigenous Art’. Artwork was installed in four major public sites – including Southern Cross Station – situated in high pedestrian locations across the country, ensuring that as many people as possible could discover, connect and learn about this unique art form and the many artists who bring it to life.

Over three days the pop-up gallery hosted a number of activities including a Welcome to Country ceremony, as well as workshops in Aboriginal art and techniques, artist talks and Q&A sessions.
