Delivering a range of public services funded by advertising, the Communication Hubs also provide an exciting opportunity for brand advertisers to reach audiences in the heart of the UK’s second largest city. Click here to see more pictures of the 17 Communication Hubs in central Manchester.
In addition to the defibrillators, the innovative Communication Hubs offer accessible pay phones (free local calls), free charging points and public messaging, all paid for by the digital 6-sheet brand advertising on the Communication Hub. They are delivered thanks to a unique partnership between JCDecaux UK and The Community Heartbeat Trust Charity
Each of the 17 Communication Hubs offers an 86", high-definition digital 6-sheet advertising screen, enabling national advertisers and local businesses to keep the public up-to-date with relevant and timely brand messaging in the city centre.

I am delighted that thanks to JCDecaux UK’s partnership with the Community Heartbeat Trust Charity, we can bring these life-saving defibrillators to Manchester," said
Phil DryeChief Commercial Development Officer , JCDecaux UK"We know that cardiac arrests can happen to anyone at any time and after calling 999 and doing CPR, using a defibrillator offers the very best chance to save a life. Having access to defibrillation really is key – as it can triple a person’s chance of survival. This partnership between the Community Heartbeat Trust and JCDecaux UK is bringing greater access to on-street defibrillators and have already been used 15 times by the public to try to save a life. Our defibrillators are designed for the public to use and don’t require any special training. When someone calls the emergency services from the communication hub, they will be given a code to unlock the defibrillator. The defibrillator has clear voice and visual instructions to guide the user through the process - and really can play a vital part in saving lives," said
